Teaching and Outreach

Teaching and Outreach

Through these activities, I have learned that simply showing up, starting conversations, and widening access can build trust, open doors, and make a lasting difference.

Teaching

Global Warming (GEOS 13410), University of Chicago

Lecturer, 2021-2025 (yearly)

In this core course for non-STEM students, I teach the physical basis of global warming. My goal is that, by the end of the course, students have an intuitive one-layer climate model in mind and can evaluate climate-related claims using physical reasoning and order-of-magnitude estimates. My teaching style emphasizes learning through conversation.
